The TimberTone Story

Our History

Starting a business is simple. Creating real, lasting value is not.

TimberTone began in the Intermountain West with a simple idea: traditional wood shouldn’t limit modern design. Harsh winters, intense summers, and extreme temperature swings made it clear that natural timber—beautiful as it is—could no longer keep up with the demands of contemporary outdoor living. There had to be a better way.

Inspired by this challenge, TimberTone set out to source and develop advanced wood-plastic composite materials that offered the warmth of real wood with none of the maintenance. Over the years, TimberTone has built strong, long-term partnerships with leading composite manufacturers, working closely with them to refine formulations, improve performance, and elevate the look and feel of WPC products. Through rigorous standards and deep product knowledge, TimberTone has curated a full line of high-quality composite materials that meet the needs of today’s architects, builders, and homeowners.

From decking and wall cladding to fencing, railing, and architectural components, every TimberTone product reflects our commitment to durability, sustainability, and timeless design. Our materials now serve projects throughout the U.S., and chosen by customers, architects, and contractors who value performance, beauty, and a maintenance-free alternative to natural wood.

TimberTone continues to look ahead—expanding products, embracing new technologies, and shaping the future of composite materials. This is only the beginning of the TimberTone vision.

In 2000, a WPC manufacturing operation was launched, built on technology sourced from the United States and focused on serving the US and Canadian market.

In 2007, operations expanded to include multiple manufacturing facilities across several international locations, enabling broader production of our WPC materials and greater flexibility in meeting global demand.

As the manufacturing company grew, additional divisions were introduced—including an outdoor PWPC product line, a dedicated unit for WPC machinery and technology development, and a business incubator designed to support ongoing innovation within the composite industry.

In 2008, TimberTone invested into expansion by broadening its portfolio, and adding new product lines that strengthened and elevated the TimberTone brand.

TimberTone expanded through strategic global partnerships, building a robust network of WPC manufacturers whose combined expertise, innovation, and product variety helped push the composite wood industry forward.

Beginning in 2017, TimberTone significantly expanded its investment in research and development, advancing new products and production technologies in pursuit of sustainable growth.

TimberTone adopted a core philosophy centered on customer needs—remaining closely attuned to consumer expectations and committed to continually elevating customer satisfaction. This focus has driven improvements across our product systems, service standards, and internal team capabilities, while also shaping a global partnership strategy rooted in mutual benefit and shared success.

We look forward to many more decades of growth and innovation
